Kris Kringles can be notoriously difficult to buy for. There’s usually a price limit ($10-$20), and if it’s an office KK you might end up with some one you don’t even know.
And let’s face it, who really wants another candle to add to the collection?
Here a few ideas to help with the Kris Kringle dilemma. They are all reasonably priced, and a bit less boring than buying a bath bomb.
Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Colouring Book (by Johanna Basford) – This little book has launched a worldwide colouring craze. It’s a colouring book that adults and children can enjoy. Apparently it’s great for stress relief and is a lot of fun.
Gorman socks – forget candles, socks are the new “I really didn’t know what to give you” present. And luckily, Gorman has some of the funkiest socks available.
An unusual plant – such as a Venus Fly Trap, terrarium or miniature orchid. (Because sometimes having a plant that eats things is just awesome.)
An organiser or diary – smart phones are stealing the market from calendars, organisers and diaries, but there is something so satisfying about ticking off a to-do list that’s handwritten. Moleskin is great for a traditional option, or Frankie always publish beautiful yearly diaries.
A fabric shaver – don’t laugh! This is a nifty little gadget that everyone should have in his or her home. It literally shaves any pilling off a fabric (it’s great for cashmeres), and only costs around $15 from Spotlight.
