I loved the RACV resort in Cape Schanck. What do you look for in a hotel? I tend to look for clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, great food (if available) and a nice view.
RACV Cape Schanck had all of that, and guess what? The room had electronic curtains, too!
But as awesome as the electronic curtains were, I have to say one of the highlights at RACV Cape Schanck were the staff. I need a word bigger than friendly or helpful here – because that would describe them.
Another highlight was the view. We stayed in one of the lesser Ocean View Rooms, but the view was still spectacular. (Of course, you can upgrade.) I particularly loved watching the sunset and watching the twinkling lights across the bay.
My final rave is about the food. The previous “top of my list” buffet breakfast was at a posh hotel in Earl’s Court (London), and the RACV Cape Schanck has marginally overtaken it. The buffet breakfast has everything you could possibly want on offer, and the dinner menus are sensationally tasty as well.
The RACV Cape Schanck is also set on a golf course. I did not partake, because I was down to visit the Peninsula Hot Springs, but reviews from friends are that it is a good course.
The only small downside to the stay was that room service walked in without knocking. Now, it was alright at the time but considering I was there for a mini-honeymoon… well, you get the picture – it could have been a lot worse!
You can read more or make a booking at the RACV Cape Schanck website. Various packages are available, and RACV members can enjoy discounted rates.
